چکیده

Introduction: In India, physical manual activities in asymmetrical postures overtax the human musculoskeletal system, which may exceed workers' limitations. Thus purpose of this study was to examine stresses experienced by subject, based on subjective and biomechanical loading estimates while lifting weights various heights, an asymmetric direction propose safe limit for lifting. Methods: A laboratory experiment conducted utilizing twelve male subjects age group 20 25 years who lifted 5 different between 10 kg from below knee heights (below ear level). The task performed three angles (45, 90, 135-degree) using free-style techniques. An ANOVA technique used analyze influence parameters (Lifting weight, height angle) two responses; loading. estimate obtained workload assessment body discomfort chart. (loading rate) estimated ground reaction force data, plate. Results: Both followed a consistent pattern predicting stress. result revealed that with higher destination asymmetry increased physiological discomfort. Experiments have shown rate is reduced 8 10% each increase 45-degree angle asymmetry. Conclusion: general, 15 weight up level shoulder are recommended 45- 90-degree respectively prevent any chronic injuries. maximum 12.5 also proposed.

The Effect of Lifting Speed on Cumulative and Peak Biomechanical Loading for Symmetric Lifting Tasks

BACKGROUND To determine the influence of lifting speed and type on peak and cumulative back compressive force (BCF) and shoulder moment (SM) loads during symmetric lifting. Another aim of the study was to compare static and dynamic lifting models. METHODS Ten male participants performed a floor-to-shoulder, floor-to-waist, and waist-to-shoulder lift at three different speeds [slow (0.34 m/s),...

Effect of background music on maximum acceptable weight of manual lifting tasks.

This study used the psychophysical approach to investigate the impact of tempo and volume of background music on the maximum acceptable weight of lift (MAWL), heart rate (HR) and rating of perceived exertion (RPE) of participants engaged in lifting. Ten male college students participated in this study. They lifted a box from the floor, walked 1-2 steps as required, placed the box on a table and...

Comparison of electrical and co-contraction activity of selected lower limb muscles during manual load lifting with three different technique

Introduction and Aim: Manual handling of loads is a complex dynamic task that involves the upper and lower limbs. Manual handling of loads in sports and daily activities can expose people to unfavorable physical conditions and lead to injury. The study aimed to compare the electrical activity and co-contraction of selected lower limb muscles during manual load lifting with three different techn...
